It was sold new through Peterson & Son Lincoln-Mercury of Lapeer, Michigan, in September 1974, and remained under the care of its original owner until 2006. The car subsequently underwent mechanical work by Roush Industries in Michigan and Performance Automotive Technologies (P.A.T.) in Massachusetts before being repainted in 2008. Power is provided by a 351ci Ford Cleveland V8 fitted with Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Blue Thunder intake manifold, and Pat Mical 2¼” exhaust headers. Gear changes are through a ZF five-speed manual transaxle, and the car rides on 15″ Campagnolo cast magnesium wheels coupled with disc brakes at all four corners. Inside, a MOMO steering wheel is paired with a dogleg-pattern gated shifter and accompanied by Corvette C4–sourced bucket seats trimmed in black leather. Acquired by the seller in 2024, this Pantera is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, 1974 purchase documents, a Deluxe Marti report, service records, spare parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The cockpit houses C4 Corvette–sourced bucket seats that have been re-trimmed in black leather. A Mitsubishi AM/FM cassette stereo, a blade-style fuse panel, and bronze window gears have been added along with DynaMat sound deadening below the carpets. Further appointments include a heater, shoulder belts, and power windows. The air conditioning system is said to have been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant, though the seller tells us that it is inoperative and requires a replacement compressor. The MOMO Prototipo steering wheel is paired with a dogleg-pattern gated shifter. The wheel frames a Veglia 200-mph speedometer and 8k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for amperage, fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure are stationed in the center stack. Power is provided by a replacement 351ci V8 fitted with a high-performance camshaft, MSD ignition, a Holley carburetor, and tubular headers, and the car rides on a coilover suspension and polished 17″ wheels fitted over four-wheel disc brakes. It is finished in black and silver with bolt-on fender flares and Pantera GTS side script, and further equipment includes a five-speed ZF manual transaxle, power-operated windows, and a Kenwood cassette stereo. This Pantera GTS is offered in Delaware with the removed factory engine, a set of Campagnolo wheels, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC. Polished 17″ wheels wear GTS center caps and are mounted with 225/45 front and 335/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car rides on a coilover suspension with front and rear sway bars and tubular rear control arms. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs with finned calipers. The bucket seats are trimmed in black leather upholstery and joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Further equipment includes power-operated windows, a Kenwood cassette stereo, a dogleg shifter, and three-point seatbelts. The engine produced 460 horsepower on the dyno after it was built and is mated to a rebuilt five-speed ZF transaxle equipped with a limited-slip differential.
