History notes: This 1979 DeTomaso Pantera is a European-market GTS example that is said to be one of fewer than 100 narrow-body, 9000-series cars produced from 1976 to 1985. Chassis 09193 was reportedly imported to the US in 1989 and later placed in storage in the late 1990s, remaining there for approximately 20 years until its sale in 2018. Following reconditioning work, it was acquired in 2020 by the current owner, who commissioned a multi-year refurbishment that included a repaint as well as mechanical updates detailed below. Finished in red and black, the car rides on 17″ Halibrand-style wheels paired with Aldan American double-adjustable coilovers at all four corners and is powered by a 351ci Ford Cleveland V8 paired with a five-speed ZF manual transaxle. Inside, König sport seats trimmed in black leather are accompanied by a MOMO “JPS” steering wheel as well as a gated shifter, air conditioning, and a custom stereo. This Pantera GTS is now offered on dealer consignment in Berkeley, California, with an Italian-language owner’s manual, refurbishment records and photographs, the removed 15″ Campagnolo wheels, and additional spare parts along with a Washington State title.
