Modifications: This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera is described as a 3-owner, 50k-mile example that was modified in the 1980s with a a GT5 body kit (flares, spoiler, skirts) and GTS rear spoiler. This is a well-documented example with a large history file that was purchased from the second owner who acquired the car in 1986 and kept it for 29 years. It sports a rebuilt engine and transmission with several performance upgrades like SVO cylinder heads, SVO intake manifold, SVO headers, and more detailed below. A multiple show winner, it comes with extensive paperwork and service history documenting all modifications and upgrades. A complete gallery of over 120 photos can be seen here on Flickr. The GT5 body kit and GTS spoiler were acquired from Pantera Performance Center in Aurora Colorado in 1984 and the car was repainted when the pieces were installed, according to the seller. Paint is Glasurit Porsche Guards Red and appears to have held up well. An NOS windshield supplied by the original owner was installed by the seller to replace the cracked original. A Texas car from new, the body and undercarriage weren’t subjected to road salt and are said to be solid.
