Modifications: This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera is a sought-after “pre-L” car that is largely stock and free of the tacked-on modifications commonly seen on lesser examples. The car retains its original 351C V8 engine with some light updates and performance additions like a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock intake, upgraded cooling system, and all new fluids. Overall it is described as mostly original with a nicely preserved interior and stock Campagnolo wheels. The seller has known the car for 40 years, and acquired it from the widow of a friend with the understanding that she will receive proceeds from the sale. The car resided in California for most of its life before coming to Oklahoma. These “pre-L” models are preferred by many for their small chrome bumpers, which accentuate the car’s clean Tom Tjaarda-penned lines more effectively than the large rubber outcroppings on later cars.
