Pantera

Identity

Modifications: This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera was built in June 1972 and delivered new to the Kumpf Motor Car Company of Denver, Colorado. The car was subsequently modified in the 1990s with steel fender flares as well a rebuild of the 351ci Cleveland V8 with a stroker crankshaft, Haltech electronic fuel injection, a four-coil ignition system, and individual throttle bodies. Finished in red over black upholstery and equipped with a ZF five-speed manual transaxle, the car also features 15″ Gotti modular wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, Recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel, a five-point roll cage, a sunroof, and lowered floor pans. It is said to have remained registered in Colorado from new until its 2022 acquisition by the current owner. Work in 2023 reportedly included programming the fuel-injection system, installing a flush-mount windshield, and replacing the tires along with the front brake calipers and rotors. This modified Pantera is now offered in California by the seller on behalf of the owner, a retail dealer, with a Deluxe Marti Report, a tool kit, and a clean Colorado title.
