Modifications: This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera was acquired by the seller in January 1993 from Mayberry Lincoln Mercury in North Hollywood. Subsequent cosmetic and mechanical work started in 2004 involved a color change to Fly Yellow, an interior re-trim in black leather, installation of a Precision Pro-Formance bolt-on chassis kit and Aldan adjustable coilovers, and replacing various components as detailed below. The overbored 351ci Ford Cleveland V8 was rebuilt in 1990 and is fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold along with a Ford Motorsport camshaft, Crane hydraulic lifters, Isky valve springs, an MSD ignition, and a Hall exhaust system with big-bore headers. Inside, the bucket seats are accompanied by Deist Safety four-point harnesses along with a MOMO steering wheel and Veglia instrumentation. Gear changes are through a gated ZF five-speed manual transaxle, and further equipment includes pop-up headlights and power windows as well as a Fluidyne aluminum radiator with electric puller fans. This pre-L Pantera is now offered with a Deluxe Marti report, service records, four 15″ Campagnolo wheels, and a collection of spare and removed parts as well as a clean California title in the seller’s name.
