Modifications: This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera is one of approximately 2,131 produced for the model year and was delivered new to Peyton Lincoln Mercury of Harbor City, California. It was acquired by the seller from its long-term previous owner approximately 12 years ago as a partially-finished project, and subsequent work performed by Don Byars of Full Throttle Panteras of Lake Elsinore, California has included overhauls of the interior, brakes, and suspension, along with the installation of a 393ci Stroker V8 equipped with CHI CNC cylinder heads and paired with a ZF five-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in dark red over black fabric upholstery, and additional equipment includes a FAST XFI electronic fuel injection system, air conditioning, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, 17” Kinesis multi-piece wheels, Sparco bucket seats with Schroth harnesses, and a dashboard-mounted iPad Mini wired to an Audison amplifier and Hertz speakers. This modified Pantera was featured in the book, Extreme Panteras and is now being offered in Fairhope, Alabama with a Deluxe Marti report, a binder of service records and documentation, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
