Modifications: This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera was originally built in September 1971 and was reportedly purchased by a family in the early 1980s as a father-son project. The project remained in an incomplete state after being sold to another owner, from whom the seller acquired it five years ago. Subsequent work included rebuilding the 351ci Ford V8 with new pistons, rods, bearings, valvetrain components, and more. Rust repairs were performed on the body, which is now finished in primer, and the interior components were re-trimmed in black vinyl. Additional parts accompanying the car include a ZF five-speed manual transaxle, suspension and brake components, a Hall Pantera exhaust system, lighting and trim, a refurbished fuel tank, two sets of wheels, and much more as outlined below. This Pre-L Pantera is now offered as a disassembled project with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
