Mangusta intl registry: Here's the history of #654, direct from the owner: I purchased 8MA654 from Ron Lovett who lived in New Jersey on Jan. 14th 1986. He bought the car from Basil Shadlun also from New Jersey. Basil bought the car from a fellow whom we think was John Damaza in Conneticut. I did a ground up restoration. The ZF box was new as one of the owners before Basil, caught a raised manhole cover with the double eared bellhousing. Gary Hall of Hall Pantera polished the ZF and I replaced the two eared bellhousing with a single ear. This required a 157 tooth flywheel instead of a 164. At one time I ran Webers and later a single 600 CFM Holley...the best way to go. The car was originally silver with black interior. I changed the color to red and powder coated the suspension and chromed or polished the remainder. I installed 2 Maria fans for cooling. The engine was brought up to Cobra specs. internally with Windsor 4 brl. heads . The car was unfinished at the time John Matras ran a back page article on it in Autoweek. I sold the car to Barney Hallingsbee in Connecticut.
